Fall Foliage Guide to Central Park
Central Park in New York City is a truly enchanting place to witness the fall foliage. As the summer heat gradually gives way to the crisp, cool air of autumn, the park transforms into a vibrant tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows. This annual spectacle draws visitors and locals alike to revel in the beauty of nature’s transition.
The sight of the first leaves changing color is a herald of the approaching fall season in Central Park. As September progresses, the lush green canopies of the park’s many trees begin to change into a riot of warm and earthy hues. Maples, oaks, and elms stand at attention, their leaves adopting brilliant shades of red, orange, and bronze, while the sweetgum trees reveal their striking purple and burgundy foliage. It’s as if the park is putting on its finest attire for the season.

The Global Citizen Festival will return to the Great Lawn in Central PArk New York City on Sept. 23, 2023! Headlined by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ms. Lauryn Hill, with Megan Thee Stallion, Conan Gray, and Stray Kids!
The Tempest – Free Shakespeare in Central Park
As the Public Theater’s Public Works program enters its second decade it will relaunch the play that launched the program, William Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST. With music and lyrics by Benjamin Velez and directed by Obie Award winner and Director of Public Works Laurie Woolery, this ambitious work of participatory theater explores the grief of being cut off from community, the desire for retribution, and the healing power of love.

Shakespeare in the Park Will Stage ‘Hamlet’ Summer 2023
The Public Theater will stage ‘Hamlet’ as this summer’s Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Ato Blankson-Wood will star as the tragic prince in a modern-dress production directed by Kenny Leon.
PickleBall at Wollman Rink
The largest pickleball installation in the Northeast is now open at Wollman Rink. The rink has been converted into 14 Pickleball courts offering 196 hours of play a day, according to CityPickle, which is running the installation. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The installation stays through Oct. 9.
