Central Park Playgrounds – Each one has its one unique character and some are even built around a theme — such as the Ancient Playground, named for the Temple of Dendor in the Metropolitan Museum of Art nearby, which sports model pyramids for climbing.

Central Park Children’s Zoo — The Children’s Zoo offers an amazing collection of exciting and educational animal exhibits including a petting zoo.

Basketball — The Park offers free basketball clinics and tournaments.

Carousel — The Central Park Carousel is open seven days a week, weather permitting, and for ninety cents you can climb aboard for an exciting three-and-a-half minute ride.

Conservatory Water — Here you can watch the model boats as they tack across the pond or climb around the statues of Alice in Wonderland and Hans Christian Andersen.

The Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre — Here children of all ages can enjoy original productions in a beautifully renovated cottage.
