Here’s 2024 Central Park season of the City Parks Foundation SummerStage, New York City’s iconic outdoor performing arts festival. The festival will once again showcase established and emerging artists from across the globe and will feature a multitude of genres including jazz, hip-hop, indie rock, salsa, reggae, Afrobeats, soul, and pop.
Model Sail Boating Returns to Central Park
Whether you have a radio powered sailboat, or a wind-powered sloop, model sail boating on Central Park’s Conservatory Water is a delight for participants and observers; whether adults, children or, in one case, a rather notable rodent. And now model boats are being rented on the pond one again for the first time since 2019.
NY Philharmonic on Central Park’s Great Lawn 2024
The New York Philharmonic Concerts in Central Park, Presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, are a beloved summer tradition, offering free classical music performances to the public in one of the city’s most iconic settings. The concerts always end with a spectacular fireworks display, framed against the Gotham skyline. One of the highlights of the summer! June 12th – 8:00 PM
Central Park Boathouse Restaurant Reopens
The iconic Loeb Boathouse Restaurant in Central Park will be reopening in the next few weeks. The Cafe already reopened last summer to rave reviews and the restaruant reopening is welcome news to the many park visitors that have enjoyed the amazing eveving view and refreshments for generations.
New Year’s 2024 Midnight Run & Fireworks in Central Park
The Annual Midnight Run is ready to kick off again this year at Midnight New Year’s Eve. It should be another memorable party!

Global Citizen Festival 2023
The Global Citizen Festival will return to the Great Lawn in Central PArk New York City on Sept. 23, 2023! Headlined by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ms. Lauryn Hill, with Megan Thee Stallion, Conan Gray, and Stray Kids!
The Tempest – Free Shakespeare in Central Park
As the Public Theater’s Public Works program enters its second decade it will relaunch the play that launched the program, William Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST. With music and lyrics by Benjamin Velez and directed by Obie Award winner and Director of Public Works Laurie Woolery, this ambitious work of participatory theater explores the grief of being cut off from community, the desire for retribution, and the healing power of love.
Central Park Boathouse Cafe Reopens
