PJ Harvey

Vocalist and guitarist PJ Harvey burst onto the alternative rock scene in 1992 when her debut single ‘Dress’ hailed worldwide acclaim. Her ninth studio album, The Hope Six Demolition Project, documents a unique artistic journey, which took her to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington, D.C. She has continually evolved her sound ranging from punk to blues and among the accolades she has received are the Mercury Prize in 2001, 2011, eight Brit Awards nominations, seven Grammy Awards nominations and two additional Mercury Prize nominations. PJ Harvey will bring her unique style to SummerStage for a benefit concert in Central Park this July as part of her select festival dates.
